Random List of Bloggy Goodness

- I'm trying to decide what to do with my hair. I think I'm going to cut a little bit off the length, because I'm back to that awkward, not really too long but almost, point and I'm not sure what to do. Sometimes I love my hair, sometimes I hate it - if it would either be straight or wavy I could cope, but this business of not doing either is getting to me.

- It is freaking hot in East Texas. Seriously making me wonder if this is June, what is August going to be like? Wait, don't tell me. I don't really want to know.

- Got sucked into Twilight, and have read the first two books. At first I was frustrated with all the plot holes (I mean, seriously Stephanie Meyer, I would not be bragging about not ever having had a writing class because it shows. I haven't had a writing class either, but I'm not presently trying to peddle a work of fiction) but I'm re-reading them with a more open, less critical, mind to just focus on the schmaltzy teenage love and less on all the other stuff. And I think I'm on Team Jacob, if we have to pick teams, because he's a sweetheart and I hate that the Nice Guy loses in things like this (plus that Taylor Lautner kid makes me think slightly inappropriate thoughts, particularly when shirtless.)

- I taught my Sunday School class today, with a whopping three people in attendance. On the plus side, I may have found John a Geek Buddy and LAN party hook-up. James even played D&D in the 80's... they might be besties by the time all is said and done.

- Interesting stuff happening at work. One who was going to leave is not after all, another might be going but we're not sure. I'm just trying to be patient and wait for it all to sort itself out while I continue to study for this test. Well, that and keeping my head down and trying to avoid all the drama, which turns out is harder than it ought to be.

- I've actually lost a bit of weight, and was able to wear something to church I've not worn in a while. It's not dramatic or anything, but clothes are starting to fit better, and that's a start.
