- I am 100% Southern. And by Southern, I don't mean country music listening, pink Mossy Oak camo wearing, tank tops or flip flops. I say "please" and "thank you" and call my two year old "ma'am." I think the fact I have to specify sweet tea in restaurants is sort of wrong. I think a nice strand of pearls really does go with almost everything, and I do NOT wear white shoes. Ever. Ever, ever, ever. They are for children and nurses, and the sooner we realize that the better off our world will be. (Oh, and Texas, you all are perfectly nice, but you are not truly Southern. Texan is its own thing. Trust me on this.)
- I love monograms. I LOVE MONOGRAMS. I have to stop myself from monogramming everything I own. I mean, I could do some serious damage if I had one of those fancy embroidery machines that monograms things. I feel like I've shown tremendous restraint so far with Sarah, but I think there are many more monograms in our future. The only specific thing I've asked for Christmas this year is a monogram necklace.
- I really do want to be Betty "By-gawd" Crocker sometimes. I wish all my cooking experiments turned out exactly the way I planned, but they don't. And I'm horrible at planning menus in advance. Nine times out of ten, I'm just grabbing what looks like it might work from the fridge or pantry and trying to figure out how to tie it all together. I may watch too much Chopped, because I keep thinking about tying it all together, and how I am also not great at presentation. Since John and Sarah are so particular about how things are plated.
So there are a few things you might not know about me as we pass this 100 post milestone. If you're not bored to tears by now, we return to whatever regular programming around here is tomorrow.
